2021-2022 새로운 커먼앱 에세이 주제 공개
지난 달 Common App 은 2021-2022 예비 12학년 들이 사용할 원서의 새로운 주제를 업데이트 했습니다.
기존의 4번 주제 “Describe a problem you've solved or a problem you'd like to solve. It can be an intellectual challenge, a research query, an ethical dilemma--anything that is of personal importance, no matter the scale. Explain its significance to you and what steps you took or could be taken to identify a solution.” 는 사라지고 이를 대체 하는 주제가 발표 되었는데요. 기존의 통계를 기반으로 많이 선택 되지 않은 주제를 버리고 최근 입학 심가관들이 더 듣고 싶어 하는 내용의 주제를 선택 했다고 합니다.
앤디프랩에서는 이 새로운 주제가 훨씬 더 활용도가 높고 학생들의 입장에서 볼 때 작성하기 수월 할 수 있다는 평가 입니다 . 새로운 주제 “ Reflect on something that someone has done for you that has made you happy or thankful in a surprising way. How has this gratitude affected or motivated you?” 는 다른 사람에게서 받은 특별한 경험을 소개 할 수 있는 기회일 뿐 아니라 후보자가 어떤 삶을 살고 있는지 그 동기부여가 무엇인지를 설명 할 수 있는 기회를 줍니다.
미국 대학 지원에서 자기 소개서 작성은 커먼앱에서 7가지 주제 중 한가지를 선택하게 되어 있습니다. 앤디프랩의 컨설턴트들은 새로운 주제가 더해져서 새로운 스토리를 학생들이 글로 표현 할 수 있다는 면에서 이러한 변화가 발전적이라는 평가입니다. 기존의 주제중 1번과 6번은 여전히 많은 학생들에게 인기 있는 선택 주제가 여전히 남을 듯 예상 되지만, 주변의 다른 인물로 하여금 영향을 받은 경험이 있고, 그러한 경험이 후보자의 삶에 크게 의미를 부여할 만한 일이라면 새로운 주제를 선택하는 것도 추천 드립니다.

Share an essay on any topic of your choice. It can be one you've already written, one that responds to a different prompt, or one of your own design.
