Our College Application programs.

For juniors and seniors.

Elite.

The Elite program is our most popular and most comprehensive program that was designed to meet a student’s every need for college admissions consulting. Our mindset was that the application and essay editing should be the bare minimum for our flagship product.

Andy and our team work together to perform a Holistic Review of the student for a complete and comprehensive evaluation. Then we provide customized recommendations based on your strengths and interests to fortify your application: college lists, potential major research, summer activity planning, competition recommendation, “brag sheets,” personality training, mock interview… you name it. We stay with you step-by-step from the beginning to the very end and make sure we are providing you with the right tools and knowledge for success.

Within the Elite program, we provide 10, 15, and 20 college options. Prices vary but the benefits remain the same.

More details

Holistic Review: We start by understanding everything there is to know about you. We want to know where you are, where you've been, and where you want to go. We customize everything about your college application to you, so you'll stand out as a unique individual.

Student Evaluation: Over the past 21 years, we have designed a matrix that works well with Asian students including both international and Asian Americans. We use this index to evaluate the strength of you as an applicant. The score (academic and nonacademic index) is used to give a rough idea of how strong or weak you may appear to be in college admissions. Using this information, you can improve your weaknesses while reinforcing your strength.

College Application Plan: This plan is to advise you with ten or fifteen different college applications. Your consultant will build a detailed, step-by-step action plan covering every little detail to strengthen your college application. We'll hold you accountable and set regular deadlines so you don't get overwhelmed. We will also provide advice on activities CV, college interviews, and letter of continued interest when deferred from college.

Teacher Counselor Relationships: The best recommendation letters come from teachers and counselors who know you as a person, beyond your homework and grades. We'll coach you on how to build fulfilling relationships with your letter writers, without coming across as insincere. Even better, you'll enjoy developing deeper relationships with your mentors.

Summer Activity Planning : If you want to maximize your chances of getting into your reach schools, you need to make the most out of your summer. We'll structure your time to cover test prep, extracurriculars, and academic work, while also giving you time to relax.

Basic.

The Basic program is designed to help students who may already have a solid grasp of college admissions but are looking for some professional assistance to make sure their essays are fine-tuned and reviewed again with a fine-tooth comb. While we are not able to provide the Holistic Review and other benefits from the Elite program, our consultants will help you make your applications look and sound better while also editing your essays.

The Basic program is limited to 5 college applications.

Our College Prep Mentorship program.

For freshmen, sophomores, and juniors.

Contrary to popular belief, college prep really begins in 9th grade. In fact, most of your college application is built in the freshman, sophomore, and junior years. By the time we begin helping students complete their college applications in senior year, we find that most students find it difficult to improve their grades, test scores, and extracurricular activities, as well as their relationships with teachers and counselors who will write their recommendation letters.

The Grade 9-11 Mentorship Consulting Program helps students change that. During the formative years of high school, we mentor and shape students into the ideal candidate for the college of their dreams so that by the time you have to write your essays and complete applications, you are given the best chance. We empower students with information and guidance so that students can maximize the resources and opportunities they have available to take control of their trajectory towards college and beyond early on.

More details

Holistic Review: We want to understand the environment in which the student has grown up and how they are performing in school. We look at their sense of belonging and level of engagement in class. We explore the student’s interests to determine how they can develop that interest into a passion that can be displayed on paper. We help students determine a clear major for college and a clear sense of purpose beyond college.

12-Month Action Plan: The Program lasts for 12 months, including one academic year and summer break. During this period, we will provide a detailed and strategic “action plan” that helps students build a stronger profile towards college applications. With regular, structured sessions, students will be able to set goals, monitor progress, and increase momentum.

Communication: In order to maximize the benefits from the Program, communication between the mentor and the student plays an important role. Through mobile messaging apps (KakaoTalk, WhatsApp, WeChat, etc.), email, Zoom, or Skype, we provide students with regular sessions every month to monitor progress and provide motivation. We understand that students come from diverse backgrounds, so we match students with mentors who have relatable experience so that you can speak to them comfortably.

College Admissions Webinars: We understand that students face anxiety and pressure when it comes to their GPAs, test scores, and other elements required for college admissions. Each month, we host live webinars where our AndyEase College Consulting team will deliver presentations on various topics on what it takes to get into competitive universities in the U.S. In each webinar, students can listen to our advice, ask us questions and receive accurate information. Compared to our YouTube videos, the webinars go into topics that are more in-depth to empower students with knowledge.

Campus Representative Webinars: Through our live monthly Campus Representative webinars, we aim to motivate our students by connecting them with real life role models who achieved their dreams. As current undergraduate students or recent graduates from prestigious universities like Yale and Penn, our Campus Representatives will talk about their experience with college admissions and their current day-to-day life at their respective colleges. Students can find out for themselves what it exactly took for them to get into the Ivy Leagues and other prestigious universities to take away important lessons.

Coursework Planning: To be a strong candidate for college admissions, a student’s coursework, performance, and eventual major must harmonize to demonstrate passion and fulfill requirements. An optimal strategy consists of taking challenging courses and balancing these courses so that students can achieve good grades. Through careful composition, we help students develop a strong and manageable academic profile. For students who require additional help maintaining their GPA, 1:1 tutoring can be added per request.

Test Prep Strategy: No matter how optional test scores are currently, high SAT/ACT scores are absolutely necessary for students who are aiming for prestigious universities and ensure that their application will receive due process. We recommend tailored test preparation methods and academic break scheduling to help students achieve their target scores through the efficient use of time. Remember, the earlier students achieve their target scores, the more time you will have to participate in more extracurricular and leadership activities that will add value to your applications.

Extracurricular Management: We identify and customize extracurricular activities for each student to align with their interests and goals. We help you focus your time on activities that will have a greater influence towards college admissions by using our knowledge, research, and experience. Students who are already involved in various activities must rise to become leaders, and perhaps even reduce involvements to create balance and focus. At the same time, although it is important to demonstrate passion by showing commitment and leadership in one or two areas by 12th grade, we make sure that students find their activities to be fun and rewarding.

Teacher/Counselor Relationships: The best recommendations come from teachers who know the student well. Of course, you must do well in their class, but that alone is not enough. We help students build relationships with their teachers and help them demonstrate exceptional qualities through their performance and interactions.

Career Exploration: For high schools, it is often difficult to determine areas of interest for their major in college and careers beyond. We help students explore their interests so that they can select their majors and set goals to develop a clear sense of purpose.

Personality Development: We tell students to imagine the type of person that they want to become. We make assessments and discuss how to develop each student’s personality into a more refined and unique version of “you.” We foster their growth by surrounding them with positive influencers so that students can become more responsible and mature. Our team works to provide a diverse framework of mentors and role models that students can look up to so that they may absorb each of our unique and individual characteristics that has helped us become who we are today.

Summer Activity Planning: To set yourself apart from other candidates for college admissions, making the best use of your summer breaks is important. We create an actionable plan to help students take advantage of extracurricular opportunities, study for standardized tests, and even take college level courses. Meanwhile, we understand that the summer is an important time for students to catch a break, so we make sure that you are given time to rest and that your obligations are not demanding.

Questions?

What is different about the AndyEase Holistic Review?

We start by understanding everything there is to know about you. We want to know where you are, where you’ve been, and where you want to go. By reviewing your past, present, and potential future, we customize everything about your college application for you, so that you’ll stand as a unique and compelling individual. It includes everything from looking at your grades and transcripts to your overall personality.

How does AndyEase use data to analyze students?

Over the past 20+ years, we have gathered data to ultimately design an admissions evaluation matrix that works well with Asian students, including both international and Asian Americans. We use this index to evaluate your strength as an applicant. The scores (academic and nonacademic index) are used to give a general idea of how strong or weak you may appear to be in core areas to admissions officers. Using this information, you can improve your weaknesses while reinforcing your strengths while also being able to determine where you stand.

What kind of recommendations does AndyEase provide?

Based on the Holistic Review, we help students translate their passions to paper. If you want to maximize your chances of getting into your reach schools, you need to make the most out of your summer. Thus, we help you identify organizations, competitions, and summer program opportunities around your potential major where you have a chance to excel and earn achievements. We will structure your time to cover test prep, extracurriculars, and academic work, while also giving you the time to relax in between. Once the admission cycle approaches, you will have built a strong application for your target schools.

In addition, we have found that the best recommendation letters come from teachers and counselors who know you as a person, beyond your homework and grades. We will coach you on how to build fulfilling relationships with your recommendation letter writers, without coming across as insincere.

Which program do you recommend?

The vast majority of our students enroll in the Elite program because of the comprehensive benefits it provides. Plus, with ten or more schools, it allows you to cast a wide net to create several options between your safety and reach schools. Year by year, we have learned from experience and designed our flagship program to add new benefits in order to meet student needs. We have ultimately designed the Elite program so that we can take on more of the burden to save you stress over the admissions cycle.

When should I enroll in AndyEase Consulting?

As the saying goes, the early bird gets the worm. The earlier you join the program, the more we will be able to add to your overall admissions profile. We can design your coursework, provide recommendations for competitions and summer programs, and even manage your extracurricular activities so that you continue to build your application towards your future. For the best results, we recommend starting with the GPA Management program as an underclassman and then enrolling in the Elite college application program as senior year approaches.

What if I don’t know which major I am interested in?

Don’t worry, you are not alone. We will help you research potential majors based on your interests, coursework, and extracurriculars so that you will have the best chance at admissions. Remember, once you are accepted, you have the freedom to change your major as you wish (and many students do) but the most important thing is to get you into the school first.
